"I need the workbook to teach as promised.”  Bunia Pastor  While instructing Train the Training participants in Beni, DR Congo, it quickly became evident that more support would be needed to assist these Pastors and Counsellors in the training of others and to keep the work going. Our Work:
Dawn Penner, EdD (Cand), RSW, developed the English version of the newly published train-the-trainer manual entitled Hope and Healing: Recovery from War Trauma and Rape.  We are grateful to Normand Rochon for his work in translating the manual into French.  The first edition of the manual will be distributed at the 2008 Hope & Healing Seminars and participants will be interviewed for cultural appropriateness.  Graduates of Hope & Healing: Module One will be asked to field-test the manual after which we will revise the material based on the gathered feedback and print the second edition.

To help us reach more Congolese pastors with resources to help the war-traumatized and raped in their communities, consider a financial investment.  $5.00 pays for the printing costs of one manual.  $20 pays for the publication costs of one manual.  $400 covers the cost of translation into another language. Swahili is the next language we hope to translate into.
