After graduating from Bible College in 1965, Dick served as an
assistant pastor for two years. From 1973 to 2004, Dick acted as a
houseparent, social worker and then Regional and Clinical Director for
a treatment foster care program for emotionally disturbed children.

Dick earned his Masters in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University
in 1980 and then started a personal counselling practice. In 1985, he
became a clinical member of the American Association of Marital and
Family Therapy. Dick is actively involved in the Counselling Network
for the Western Ontario District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of
Canada. He has a heart for missions and has participated in a number of
short-term missions trips to Africa. Dick enjoys leading groups on
"Boundaries", and men's groups on "Wild at Heart".
