Healing Streams specializes in counsellor training resources for post-war and high needs communities, churches and organizations. We currently work in Canada and the Great Lakes region of Africa. The Great Lakes region of Africa includes the eastern provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

Healing Streams uses a training of trainers model in contexts where participants receive ongoing supervision and support in their work. The training of trainers model combines the cultural expertise of local caregivers with international best practice methods in psychological trauma recovery.
